Job Title: Contract and Risk Management Procurement Representative - FEMA Storm Program

Job Location: Melville, NY  (Long Island)

Compensation:  $50/hr-$55/hr (W2 contractor only and no benefits - i.e. health, vacation, etc.)

Duration: 1 1/2 years

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Contract and Risk Management Procurement Support – Day-to-day management and execution of RFPs including communicating with bidders, leading the evaluation of responses against the RFP criteria and making an award recommendation to Client.
  • Management of contract awards, change request disposition and change orders (i.e. change management), amendments, contract correspondence in connection with contract and change management, annual contract updates (COIs, LOCs), and management of close out activities for all FEMA contracts.

Services to be provided include:

  • Project Administration – Participate in key contractor meetings with the FEMA Project as requested and required by the Project, coordinate with Project schedulers, participate in negotiations in connection with RFPs, changes, and track / manage elements of the contract such as LOCs, COIs, financial risk management review support, etc.
  • Project Execution Support: Generate Procurement related draft documents in connection with support for any claims, warranties, changes which may arise during performance of the Contract. Manage review with Legal, Client, and Procurement. This work may also include retroactive drafting of procurement related memo’s to file to support previously executed Amendments.
  • Non-FEMA lessons learned / knowledge sharing and support: Provide knowledge sharing and support to non-FEMA bids as a subject matter expert as needed and required by CLIENT for the purpose of sharing lessons learned / knowledge with other Procurement areas (i.e. capital projects).

SCHEDULE:

  • The work to be provided shall be on a full time basis beginning ending on or about December 2019.
  • All work shall be performed at Client site either in Hicksville, NY or Melville, NY. It is anticipated that Client will provide remote access and laptop with VPN capability for the work.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 4 yr. College degree in business with related courses in contract and risk management for goods and services or equivalent work or other experience.
  • 3 + years contracts management experience including RFP and contract crafting, and negotiating including change management contract documents.
  • Experience and knowledge of FEMA contracts or equivalent federal programs (i.e. have done government procurements in the past and have a proven record of achievement with executing RFPs and Contracts).
  • Ability to work with Legal repetitive to craft and negotiate contracts with suppliers for goods and services.
  • Good skills with MS Office products and adobe.
  • Highly transparent work ethic with good document and email management skills.
  • Knowledge of SAP a plus.
  • Strong ability to work in a team and collaborate, communicate and achieve project goals on a consistent basis.
